Please check the site calendar before submitting a request, as we may already have seen it!
New events are posted to the site as soon as we learn about them. We try to check all the feeds,
emails, and notifications each day, but we also have day jobs and families, so please keep this in mind
when requesting a post. For best results, please contact us about an event at least 24-48 hours
in advance. Earlier is better!
Once an event is added to the site, it will be tagged with the new flag for three days.
A notice will be scheduled to post on Facebook and Twitter approximately one week before the event.
We reserve the right to decline to post an event for any reason. If you're not sure, please feel free
to submit the event, and we'll decide if it's appropriate for the site. We're trying to balance a
variety of events and educational opportunities against
overwhelming the site calendar.
What we post (this is not all-inclusive):
Marches, protests, or vigils
Visits to legislators' offices
Events promoting cross-cultural understanding
Postcard/letter writing events
Fundraisers for nonprofit agencies
Issue canvassing, voter registration, etc.
We generally do not post about the following:
Events, fundraisers, phone banking, canvassing for individual political candidates (multi-candidate
forums or party fundraisers are ok)
Private events (not open to the public)
